Kaguya is visited by a strange guest.
Amidst the hopelessly grey and labyrinthine HQ corridors walked a handsome long-haired man all dolled up in an exquisite waloli outfit.
Kaguya had just received an order from the Sunflower Official while in the middle of festive merrymaking with his friends. It was early in March, and so a days-long Doll Festival celebration was held in New Caledonia. On that particular day, there was a costume contest; the outfit Kaguya wore didn't win him any prizes, but he was proud of it all the same, and he couldn't help the disappointment that he didn't get to showcase it a tad longer.
A pink kimono top with regal long sleeves and a peach blossom motif, a calf-length, flared red skirt with a frilled hem, and a train trailing on the floor like the draping feathers of a peacock. A pronged gold headdress, strokes of red eyeliner and red lipstick, and a folding fan bearing the Hazama family crest completed the look. The outfit was as excellent as it could be, but in the seemingly endless corridors, it was growing increasingly tiring to walk on high geta sandals, not helped by the dragging train.
Someone would be waiting for him at the door to his RC, the Sunflower Official told him. And yet, when he arrived at his RC's sliding door, he saw no one.
Then he noticed a round, white object at his feet.
An object that turned out to have eyes and a pair of rabbit ears.
To his confusion, the rabbit-like being gazed up at him, then hopped around him, sniffed his train, looked up his long skirt, then faced him again.
The creature then unleashed a hellish shriek,
"You're a human? And a man?"
Kaguya had no time to explain himself. The rabbit-like creature hopped back and forth restlessly while rambling, "No way, this can't be real. The yellow flower told me I'd be greeted by an Agent Kaguya; I thought I'd meet the moon princess herself. Is this a mistake?"
"Excuse me," Kaguya interrupted. "I am Kaguya, but I'm not the moon princess; I'm named after her. I'm indeed a human male, inside and out. It's also impossible for the actual mythological Princess Kaguya to work for the PPC, in any case; she's a canon character. So… you must be Mr. Usuasagi, I assume?"
The rabbit's gaze changed into a glare. "Much appreciated that you get my last name right, kid, but don't think I'll ever forgive you for your blasphemy. Foolish humans, blithely taking the names of divine, eldritch beings for themselves. You even have the gall to take her robes and turn it into this monstrosity! Oh, I'll make you pay for this insult!"
That said, the rabbit jumped at Kaguya, baring his rodent teeth as if he was a venomous snake. All he succeeded in biting was the frilled collar of the white shirt under Kaguya's kimono top. The collar came undone, and Kaguya was horrified – the bruise at the crook of his neck was in full view.
And so he abandoned all subtletly and screamed, "You pervert!" He backhanded the rabbit at full force, sending him flying against the door.
Kaguya did not expect what was to come. Once the rabbit fell to the floor, he cackled menacingly, his blue eyes started glowing. "Kid, you really are something," he said.
Kaguya didn't even have time to gasp. In a flash, a barrage of large ice spikes shot out of the rabbit's mouth, piercing through his long sleeves, pinning him to the wall.
Momoka, Urato and Inasuke, alongside Inasuke's minis, had also left the festivities and was trekking through grey corridors for their RCs. They found RC 381's door just as a horrible altercation took place there. "Kaguya-sama! What's happening?" Momoka cried. She rushed over to his side and tried futilely to pluck out the ice spikes. "Your clothes! Are you hurt?"
"All of you, stand back!" Kaguya yelled back. "Don't provoke that thing further!"
At the foot of the door, the rabbit-like creature smiled devilishly.
